Chairman Moran Statement on Passing a Continuing Resolution

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (Kan.) – chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs – today released the following statement after voting to pass a Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government until September 30th:

“The Continuing Resolution fully funds the Department of Veterans Affairs for the remainder of the fiscal year and provides care, benefits and services to veterans, survivors and caregivers across the country. This legislation also includes an additional $6 billion for VA to address a funding shortfall announced last year under the Biden administration. I will work with VA leaders, the administration and my colleagues on the Senate VA and Appropriations Committees to address the mismanagement that led to this shortfall and fund VA through the regular appropriations process in fiscal year 2026.”
