Sen. Moran Speaks on Senate Floor Regarding the Biden Administration’s Restrictions on Access to Care for Veterans

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (Kan.) – ranking member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee – today spoke on the Senate floor calling on the Biden administration to correct course and lift restrictions on veterans’ access to care, whether in the community or in VA medical facilities.

“Often it’s the distance that causes a veteran to choose if he or she needs to seek care in the community, but sometimes it is the expertise and specialty,” said Sen. Moran. “However, in all instances the Department of Veterans Affairs is making it harder for veterans to get the care they are entitled to under the law, in the community. Under President Biden’s administration, community care has come under attack and veterans, many of them, are paying the price.”
