Isakson Statement on VA Funding in President Trump’s Fiscal Year 2019 Budget Request

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, today released the following statement regarding President Donald Trump’s fiscal year 2019 budget request, which includes a total of $198.6 billion for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA):

“This budget proposal reaffirms the president’s commitment to investing in our veterans’ health care and benefits. The president has made improving veterans’ services a priority, and this budget would allow the VA to continue making changes and reforms to deliver the best health care for our veterans. I look forward to working with the Department of Veterans Affairs in the year ahead as we continue to take steps to provide top-notch services to our veterans.”
