Isakson Applauds Confirmation of Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans’ Employment and Training
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, today released the following statement after the Senate confirmed the nomination of former U.S. Rep. Michael H. Michaud to be Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans’ Employment and Training:
“Two of my top priorities as chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs are ensuring a seamless transition for active duty service members becoming veterans and combating veteran homelessness. Mr. Michaud’s unwavering commitment to serving veterans will help address those goals. I look forward to working with him as he brings the same level of dedication he brought to the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs to the veterans’ programs at the Department of Labor.”
