The Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs has changed the time and location of its previously scheduled markup.  The markup will now occur after the first vote in the stacked series of roll call votes scheduled to begin at 11:00am on June 29.  The Committee will meet in the President’s Room (S.216).


Agenda

I. S. 277 (Burr) (Committee Print), Caring for Camp Lejeune Veterans Act of 2011.  To amend title 38, United States Code, to furnish hospital care, medical services, and nursing home care to veterans who were stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, while the water was contaminated at Camp Lejeune, and for other purposes.

II. S. 572 (Sherrod Brown). To amend title 38, United States Code, to repeal the prohibition on collective bargaining with respect to matters and questions regarding compensation of employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs other than rates of basic pay, and for other purposes.

III. S. 745 (Schumer) (Committee Print).  To protect certain veterans who would otherwise be subject to a reduction in educational assistance benefits, and for other purposes.

IV. S. 894 (Murray), Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2011. To amend title 38, United States Code, to provide for an increase, effective December 1, 2011, in the rates of compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities and the rates of dependency and indemnity compensation for the survivors of certain disabled veterans, and for other purposes.

V. S. 914 (Begich) (Committee Print), Veterans Programs Improvement Act of 2011.   To amend title 38, United States Code, to authorize the waiver of the collection of copayments for telehealth and telemedicine visits of veterans, and for other purposes.

VI. S. 951 (Murray) (Committee Print), Hiring Heroes Act of 2011.  To improve the provision of Federal transition, rehabilitation, vocational, and unemployment benefits to members of the Armed Forces and veterans, and for other purposes.
