The Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act, Public Law 111-163, was signed into law on May 5, 2010.  A primary focus of this new law was the establishment of a program of supportive services for family members of veterans who stay home to provide care for their injured veteran loved one. 

Under the law, VA was required to submit a plan for the implementation of this new program by November 1, 2010.  The plan was actually presented to the Committee on February 9, 2011.
