The Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs has postponed its field hearing on the state of VA care and services on Maui, previously scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.  Senator Akaka will be attending the funeral of his friend and colleague Edward M. Kennedy, and will be unable to chair the Maui hearing.

The hearing on the state of VA care and services on Maui will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.
