Senate, House Veterans' Committees To Hear Proposals From Veterans Organizations Groups to offer views on legislation and FY 2009 budget
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Richard Burr (R-North Carolina) today announced that the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs will hold a joint hearing with the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs on Thursday, March 6, 2008. The committees will receive testimony from the American Ex-Prisoners of War, the Paralyzed Veterans of America, the Jewish War Veterans of the USA, the Blinded Veterans Association, the Vietnam Veterans of America, the Non Commissioned Officers Association, and the Air Force Sergeants Association. The groups will offer their views on pending legislation, suggest new legislation, and address the FY 2009 budget.
