CHAIRMAN CRAIG TO APPEAR ON C-SPAN'S
May 24, 2006 (Washington, DC) U.S. Senator Larry Craig, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, will appear on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" on Thursday morning, May 25, starting at 9 a.m. Eastern. The Senator will appear on the show to discuss the loss of computer hardware potentially containing the names, Social Security numbers and other information of up to 26.5 million military veterans. The Senator's appearance will start just one hour before a joint hearing of the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs and the U.S. Senate on Homeland Security and Government Affairs. That hearing will be carried live by C-SPAN 3, and will be webcast live, and archived for viewing later, at http://veterans.senate.gov. The hearing may also be audiocast ? during the hearing only ? on C-SPAN's hearings website, located at http://www.capitolhearings.org. C-SPAN's Washington Journal was started in 1995.
