Senator Craig Pays Tribute to the Troops and Discusses Base Closure Process

Every other week, U.S. Senator Larry Craig's personal office issues a news report of his activities. This week's video and audio edition, which is about four minutes long, focuses on the Senator Larry Craig's recent trip to Iraq with Secretary of Veterans Affairs Jim Nicholson, and Idaho Congressmen Butch Otter and Mike Simpson. In the show Senator Craig also comments on the recent Base Realignment and Closure Commission's recommendations to close 33 major military installations and for 29 more to be realigned. The commission has also slated 775 smaller installations for closure or realignment.

Memorial Day, which is set aside to pay tribute to those who died in our nation's service, is Monday, May 30.
